The AFeWiS girls in conservation is a team of 3 girls or ladies serving in different capacities within the alert for endangered wildlife species programs.

For quite a long time women have never been seen worth fighting against wildlife extinction and animal poaching, but AFeWiS has given this chance for these 3 super ladies having the passion for wildlife to play a part in fighting against human elephant conflicts and finding solutions to halt down the problem.

First we have Miss Rebecca Emanuel, she serves as a program manager and girls wild power unit under the AFeWiS beehive project.

Secondly, we have Sarah Simon. She serves and mostly plays a big part in the beehive fence program that helps settle disputes between farmers, elephants and buffaloes.

Thirdly, we have Magreth Nanyaro. She is new in the team but filled with a passionate love for protecting elephants. She’s currently researching on elephant extinction that happened here in Tanzania between the year 2009 to 2014 and she’s trying to write about it and how the elephant numbers have thrived since Tanzania came into a new regime of president John Magufuli in the year 2015. It’s five years now and elephant numbers have doubled from 44,000 to almost 80,000+ so it’s a great achievement. Maggie is trying to write something about all this while serving elephants using beehives across the Arusha national Park.
